"In Cold Read"
A Playwriting Workshop hosted by Nancy Pop
"In Cold Read" is a playwriting workshop that challenges new and experienced playwrights by utilizing cold read performances and feedback opportunities to facilitate open, thought-provoking discussions about the material presented.
Actors are cast on the spot - a great opportunity to practice your cold reading skills and connect with other actors, writers, and directors! The workshop is free and open to the public. Wine is a suggested $3 donation. It is held every third Monday of the month at Spoonbill & Sugartown Booksellers (99 Montrose Ave) and hosted by our Managing Director, Nancy Pop.
WRITERS - to submit a script, contact firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief introduction and at most 10 pages of material. Scripts for film/television may be considered as well, though we do our best to stick with stage plays.
ACTORS - for cold reading opportunities, please show up at 7:00pm to be cast by the writers!
EVERYONE ELSE - this event is open to the public, and we encourage anyone interested in storytelling/screenwriting/playwriting to attend!
July 16th at 7pm!
